Not quite right...today, the NIH salary cap is linked to the senior executive service (SES) max *for scientists*. For context, before 2000, the cap was independent of SES salaries. It fell in 2012 & did not reach the 2011 level until 2021. Source: grants.nih.gov/grants/polic...
