1986 with AD&D. First non D&D game was Shadowrun in 1989. I almost said Star Frontiers, but I do think I played Shadowrun first.

Brandonsford has worked very well as a starting location for my last two campaigns (currently using it).

I was really surprised that Among Cats and Books' Dolmenwood Factions didn't make it further in the voting.

I just watched your six videos... and found myself taking notes almost immediately. This is great stuff, @josephrlewis.bsky.social — thanks for taking the time to make these.

I started with AD&D in 1986. I didn't play B/X until the '90s.

I would love to see the process for how you take an idea and develop it into something worth publishing.

Great campaign.

A lot of childish drama perpetrated by toxic assholes. Yochai Gal left Bluesky after being relentlessly attacked for no real reason. Yochai is the one who put together the main OSR feed, so that's gone with him — probably the one you can't find.

All of the official OSE adventures are top-notch. I haven't run Holy Mountain Shaker (I'm not yet sure how to run it, honestly) or anything from the two Adventure Anthologies (though I intend to drop a couple into the campaign).

Really, anything OSR converts easily. And OSE, of course, if fully compatible with anything B/X. Some of my players' favorites have been The Black Wyrm of Brandonsford, Nightmare Over Ragged Hollow, and stuff from @bradkerr.bsky.social — Hideous Daylight, Wyvern Songs.

Earlier this year, I introduced Feats of Exploration to my weekly game. I do feel as though it has nudged players to take more interest in exploration and to interact more with the setting.

You'll love it. I'm one year into running my third campaign using OSE. The first two dungeon-based adventures: The Hole in the Oak and The Incandescent Grottoes are worth the investment, too. They're always a hit with the players, and they can be linked into a single, larger dungeon.

I hope you find everything you want and need in 2025. I only just learned that you have a Patreon, and so joined. Love your art. I’m not fluent in art lingo, but your illustrations remind me of old wood carvings… but with a kind of folk horror feel to them. Just how I see it. That's a compliment.

I agree with you on the latter point. I was shocked at the time to learn there were games other than AD&D. It wasn't until the '90s that I really began to explore what else was out there.

All of those, please.

Great module!

I wasn’t a fan of Star Frontiers. I think we only played it 2-3 times.

AD&D (1E) and Shadowrun (2E) — I loved both. I haven’t played Shadowrun since, maybe, 2000. AD&D I played in 2022.

Persuasion isn't violence, but I agree with the point you're trying to make.

Does this make me an Alpha Gay? I have children, yet, in the words of Maude Lebowski, I find sex to be a “zesty enterprise.”

This weird “alpha male” trend just illustrates the sad state of modern masculinity.
