Great to hear from Jenny Jones standing in for Natalie Bennet argue for HSE involvement to protect workers most vulnerable to sexual harassment.

"It would be a no-brainer to try and work together across the House... to try and see if we can improve on what clearly isn't working at the moment."

Great to hear Lord Russell on the 51 years of legislation and why we need real oversight on workplace sexual harassement.

"The prevalence of sexual harassment and violence in the workplace across the UK shows that interventions like these amendments are, unfortunately, necessary." 1/2

Fantastic working with The Suzy Lamplugh Trust and Baroness Carmen Smith on amendments to the Employment Rights Bill- tackling the high rates of sexual harrasement in the workplace is early intervention that would have a huge impact on violence against women and girls.

Really important progress for the campaign - Baroness Carmen Smith has laid down amendments to the employment bill that will be heard next week in Parliament.

Last week we met with Suzy Lamplugh Trust and Baroness Smith of Llanfaes to talk about workplace sexual harassment.

We all agree that the law must do more. And the responsibility should lie with the Health and Safety Executive. 1/2

Hannah was told to wear a revealing outfit.

She was groped by customers.

Management said: “It sells.”

The harassment wasn’t the problem—it was the plan.

In some industries, 9 out of 10 women report sexual harassment.

It’s not accidental—it’s profitable.

Harassment is a business model.

What are we fighting for?
1. Anonymous reporting
2. Real enforcement
3. More time to report
4. Public accountability

This isn’t about tweaks—it’s about transformation.

Olivia spoke up about harassment.
She lost her hours. The harasser stayed.

This is what retaliation looks like.

“Wear the outfit or leave.”

Hannah was harassed by customers and ignored by management.

Harassment was baked into the business model.

Aamaya, 21, reported sexual harassment. Her manager said:

“I just basically won’t look into it.”

She faced it alone. No action. No safety. No justice.

#EndNotDefend means changing that—for good.

What would real protection look like?

HSE classifying sexual harassment as a workplace hazard

Mandatory employer action plans
Consequences for employers who fail to protect workers

A culture where harassment is NOT tolerated

We can make this happen.

Employer Responsibility = HSE Responsibility
Employers are legally required to keep workers safe.
🚨 But if @H_S_E doesn’t classify sexual harassment as a workplace hazard, how can workers be protected?
📢 HSE must step up! Demand real action: workerspolicyproject.org/endnotdefend/
