Making predictions, I try not to fixate on my losses, but watching the Dragonscale fetches trend slowly downward stings like mad.

Special place in hell: You show up to a card buyer with a huge stack of double sleeved cards.

With all the other things going on, this feels minor, but all of this:

1) Dogs should have won the SL Sellout

2) SpongeBob will sell out in more than 4 hours next week, they likely printed a ton

3) If I could outlaw using lettuce/cabbage as an under layer for other things, I would do so.

There’s a whole lot of crappy stuff going on in the world, and much to be angry about.

Wizards getting the SpongeBob memes right helps me feel a *touch* better about the state of the universe.

Every little thing helps!

I feel qualified to give this PSA: that storm dragon is a bad card and when you compare it to 30+ years of dragons it is not in the top 150.

Can’t sleep but thinking about how I got James to add cards to a cart mid-podcast is a good sign of picks and strategy. Yay me!

However the news that some unbans are coming…I just bought a playset of foil borderless Jeweled Lotus.

The Commander tiers seem fine for what they are: organization at huge events and tournaments.

If you don’t play at either of those, you can ignore game changers and tiers.

🧵 I’ve decided to run against Nancy Pelosi to represent San Francisco in Congress. I know some of you might be surprised that Speaker Emeritus Pelosi is running again, but she is — for her 21st term! We need new leadership in the Democratic Party.

Colleague at work today: “Am I crazy or are we in the middle of a techno takeover and no one seems to give a shit?”

Nope, you’re not crazy. We all gotta get a paycheck even while shit be wilding.

Wait, Aetherdrift and Civ 7 are out *the same day*?

Clearly a flaw in someone’s scheduling.

Wait…is that….Democrats fighting even a little dirty?!
New York lawmakers are considering a change to the state's special elections law that would keep Rep. Elise Stefanik's House seat open for months, a move backed by Hakeem Jeffries as a way to deny Republicans’ already bare-bones House majority of a crucial vote.

New York lawmakers may give Gov. Kathy Hochul more time to schedule special elections, a move backed by the House Democratic leader that could keep a key seat vacant for months.

The FIAB goes on sale in four hours. Worth buying, shouldn’t sell out too fast.

Getting a box of MYB2 for that price is worthwhile. Super fun to draft!

Just a note if you play Cubes on Arena: Alchemy cards are very very good. Like, broken good. Especially blue mythics.

My first year as a science teacher (I’d done 2 yrs as English and 3 as a sub) I had two kids and a wife and we were on WIC because the cost of living was so high and 1st-year in my new district was so low.

It’s really easy to be in a shitty spot, and costs you nothing to have empathy.

Every time I think about the new president, I have like three thoughts and then I get to: ‘we are Trump’s health away from President Vance’ and that’s when the nausea really kicks in

There is a boatload of bad shot going on right now, so I went to play Commander and cheer myself up.

Two tables over, I hear the most horrified and angry voice I’ve ever heard: “YOU CANNOT BRIDGE SHUFFLE MY DECK!!!!!”

Cannot argue with the sentiment.

I have had a decent year in terms of buying and selling, but the single card I made the most on was the Pride Secret Lair Mana Confluence. Sold ten for $55 each, averaged and before taxes.
