One of several work sites today. Seems calm in a snapshot, but the pond is teeming with life. Blue-spotted salamanders, boreal chorus frogs, several crayfish species, and a thriving abundance of macroinvertebrates. Looking forward to seeing how it changes day by day.

Snow day after 62 degrees on Saturday. White-winged scaups, goldeneyes, and tons of red breasted mergansers on Lake Michigan today. One confused song sparrow and killdeer disappointed to be back early.
