I don’t think anyone in Dem politics other than his inner circle truly believed he would run in January of 2023. I don’t remember talking to anyone who felt good about it unless they were in that circle or just outside it.

Doesn’t even have to be cabinet level. If you’re Assistant Secretary of Legislative Affairs for an agency, you’re technically Madam Secretary for the rest of your professional career, but only jackasses insist on it.

Watched A Few Good Men today. Fairly certain nearly everyone in this Administration believes Colonel Jessup was railroaded by the woke mob.

It wasn't that everyone felt great about the WMD allegations or anything like that. It was the shadow of 9/11 and the collective desire to make sense of it. People really wanted the Bush administration to be right. That is not the case right now.

I'm certain you would've seen many more votes against supplemental funding bills much sooner had the war not been popular.

Even though there were serious doubts about many things, the rally round the flag, support our troops thing meant anyone in a purplish state got their head taken off the moment they gave voice to them.
