By July 1960, Woolworth’s officially desegregated its Greensboro lunch counter. The sit-ins had sparked a national movement. Inspired by these four students, people across the US began challenging segregation in their own cities.

Woolworth Building is home to the International Civil Rights Center and Museum. The Museum, led by people like McArthur Davis, who served as executive director for many years, strives to keep the spirit of the sit-in movement alive.
