Two books for spooky season:
COFFIN MOON, Keith Rosson: Best modern vampire story ever (although it's set in the 70s).
THE TWISTED ONES, by T. Kingfisher: It lures you in with chatty good humor (especially about NPR Pledge Week) and a lovely dog...then slams the door and bites you in the dark.

Faith is convincing oneself that something is true, while omitting the possibility that what one believes may be false. Faith is a fallacy. #faith

I take back anything negative I said about Moby Dick. The prose was dense, and abstruse, and that was frustrating at times. But it was mostly beautiful and poetic, and worth every minute. #reading #mobydick #hermanmelville #america

Remembering Albert Camus.
Albert Camus wrote The Stranger, The Fall, and The Plague. In another book, The Myth of Sysiphus, he helped those who didn't know how to confront a meaningless universe. He described why life, even if it is meaningless, is very much worth living. #absurdism #philosophy

#A-Haydn-A-Day Day 38: Symphony No. 83 "La Poule"

Say goodbye to leftover turkey and a big hello to Haydn's French Hen: this Paris Symphony gets its name from the first movement's second subject (1:36), which reminded listeners of the jerky head movements of a walking hen.

I'm feeling peckish! 🐔🐓🐤
