making the savestate for manual testing continues to be the bottleneck, and then testing the patch after too. it's fine i'll do it whenever i do, i have to, it's the only asm work i can keep thinking about til i do it.

it's just annoying in that i'm doing a hijack mid-register math to a code cave to manipulate the register values to return sending everything on its way without stepping on any register that might then blow up the entire thing after
