Mate, that’s not better looking, that’s an abomination.

You’ve seen the price hikes coming in the Summer? Give with one hand, take with the other.

Somehow Apple implemented dark mode once, all at once, and it works consistently everywhere. MS will deliver it over a decade.

As a sysadmin I see the rapid decline in quality of UI design and stability/accuracy. Vulnerability reporting in Defender is ai generated now and is woefully inadequate. Training good engineers to use ai is one thing, firing them to use ai instead is another.

macOS as an option, even running in a vm or container is the obvious solution. It boots so fast it’d be workable in dual boot.

I’ve been making very complex wish lists and arguments but it’s just this simple. Thanks for boiling it down to the fundamentals!

Content menu still worse than win 10 version. Who makes these decisions?

It’s not as if it’s your computer or anything 😛

My users would appreciate computers that don’t get bricked by “quality updates”, and an os that stays out of their way as they do their jobs. MS seemingly have no interest in any of this

What could possibly go wrong? Thank God I live several thousand miles away.

"Quality Update" they call it.
November 20, 2025 at 9:59 PM
I would just take updates that actually apply, and don't brick computers. That'd be great, thanks. Some actual QC and testing would go a long way.

Oh, like pay for the services you consume on-demand? Like how cloud services are meant to work? This is what Cloud PC should've offered us from day 1. Better late than never I guess.

So it's AI, CoPilot, Agents, rinse and repeat. Great. I won't waste my time.

‘Finally’ is the word. Why does it take 4-5 years to get basic features like this added. How long will we wait for 25H2 to be added to the requirements page? 6 months? Why??
November 18, 2025 at 8:16 AM
This is a massive improvement, but why does it take 4 or 5 years to happen? The point of Cloud services is rapid interation, and this has been a pain point forever. I still don’t understand why I need to use a cli from GitHub to wrap win32 apps years later. MS focus on the wrong things.

Every day is a schoolday. My bad, I was assuming these weren't available for steam deck or forthcoming steam machine. Looks like they are. So I guess most people will be OK. It's still a bummer if you want to use crossover on macOS though, like I do.

Oh, it's so lucky Gartner are here to tell us these things.

Knowledge is power. Being the controller of access to knowledge is power. Google are abusing the YouTube monopoly

wow, we're abbreviating "congrats" now, are we. I won't be doing that. Congratulations Jeff, keep up the great work!
