Also, while we're on the topic of streaming services (I know that was another thread, but it's 4am here and I'm watching 20,000 people watch a D&D live show at MSG), are you sufficiently @dropout.tv pilled?

I feel like the trick is that Apple just have so much money they actually don't seem to care if it makes a profit, and I think they might have gotten away with just liking the prestige of it and winning Emmys etc. and I'm honestly fine with that.

The Studio wasn't quite my thing, and haven't seen Dark Matter yet, but Bad Sisters and Murderbot were so fucking good.

I mean, did you know Harrison Ford is a good actor? As someone who has never seen an Indiana Jones or Star Wars film, I think this was literally my first proper introduction to him. Ted Lasso is also cute, Foundation is epic, the list does actually go on.

Yeah, Silo came to mind as the most vaguely similar show, but there's so much great stuff on there, zero ads, and everything is Dolby Vision with a higher bitrate so it looks fucking great too. Shrinking is also hilarious and gets you in the feels.

Nah, it's fine to do it, you just have to remember that it'll take a number of hours, maybe even a day or so, for them to understand it.

As a bigger guy, one of my favourite things about realising I can be intimidating to other people (despite this not becoming obvious to me until like my mid 20s), is having the confidence to go up to those people and tell them they're actually in the quiet coach and the other ones are *gestures*.

I'm probably missing something, but I feel obliged to note that I have never even visited the US, but I know what a reconciliation based sidecar bill is, and also that @sen-ronwyden.bsky.social's Free Choice Amendment combined with a strong public option would have been fucking great.
