Lorelai likes fun accessories (fuzzy alarm clock), so it makes sense that she picks out festive purple paper for Rory. One of the things I really appreciate about season 1 Rory is how practical and grounded she is. Serious school, serious paper.

It is preposterous that Lorelai’s rodeo outfit is the most reasonable thing she has available. The woman owns (long) jeans, and I’m pretty confident those don’t get dry cleaned. I don’t care though. It’s such a ridiculous outfit, and I love it.

Emily agrees to pay for Chilton in exchange for the famous Friday Night Dinners, as well as a weekly phone call. Do we ever hear about the weekly phone call again? I don’t remember it at all.

In celebration of the first day of fall, I’m beginning a Gilmore Girls rewatch. This show was so important to me in high school, but I haven’t revisited it in years. Looking forward to cozy vibes, fun quips, and perhaps a few more critical thinking skills than I had when I was 16.
