Again, Bluesky binds (bans/suspends) but does not protect liberal, left-leaning, or marginalized voices, and protects but does not bind (ban/suspend) regressive, right-leaning, racist, transphobic, or abusive accounts.

It's not the act of banning, it's the naked prioritizing that's the problem.

If you have one of these in your neighborhood, check it out & help fill it when you are able!

If you don't have one, maybe think about creating one, if you can!

Well, that explains why I hadn't seen my native Witchhazel bloom since planting it in it's permanent home, neatly 10 years ago.

I wasn't looking at it in the right season. 😆

Fun fact- I have a chunk of pure copper from Keeweenaw Peninsula that I use as a door stop.

My dad got it out of Lake Superior, decades ago.

This smells amazing.

Butter, sea salt, garlic powder, fresh cracked black pepper, roasted 25 min, basted in own butter & juices, roasted another 20 min.

Once it cools, it'll be scooped out & used to recreate a dish my SiL fed us while in Michigan that was delicious.

I have just under 2 weeks until the local Holiday Market.

I can get a couple soft sculpture turkeys made in that time.

Yup, sure can.

(I can, if I don't procrastinate.)

BiL was just diagnosed as diabetic. (Genetic, runs in his family).

Has to do insulin.

He just paid over $1k for it, after a coupon & insurance.

Health insurance is a racket.

Mayhem, on the back of the couch, rubs his head against my hand, wanting attention.

I start scratching his neck & he promptly tries to bite me.

Good thing he's cute.

It was raining, and windy yesterday through last night, so nothing got put out for the birds/wildlife.

The result was no new sightings of Stevie, the unknown barn cat that showed up this week.

Plenty of birds, Smoochie, Oscar, the Grey Foxes, the deer though...

SiL asked if I could sew.

Of course, I said, just not at a professional level.

That's fine, she says, mom needs bibs & they don't need to be perfect.

So I looked up an adult bib pattern & have the perfect material to use for it- a towel my greatgrandmother crocheted & embroidered flowers on.

I so did not miss the political attack ads for the Virginia Govetnot/Attorney General election next week, while in Michigan.

Not one bit.
