I think he made a mistake in October, staying on. You literally can’t fight populists with policy. And most people couldn’t cite policy when a gun to their heads. It’s all “teams” and “us vs them” and “well I just don’t like the guy”. Abysmal.

I think the liberals are underestimating how powerfully people are uniting in dislike of JT. I’m personally neutral on him but it seems foolish politically to keep an unlikable leader at a time when someone odious like PP seems attractive to some.
