after quite a lot of proompting the image generation tools by #openai (and paying them £20 this month), and a little bit of gimp & ffmpeg trial and error, i have an avatar of me i'm kinda happy with! you might see them in a youtube video near you soon ;)

⚡️ in just 15 lines of #powershell, i've added the rudimentary ability add a copilot-style autocomplete your shell!

i feel like further enhancing of the prompt (see below) and/or model will lead to interesting results.

i tried running it against qwen2.5:72b, but it was a bit 🐢 for my needs

a [psreadline](https://learn.microsoft.com/powershell/module/psreadline) [key handler](https://learn.microsoft.com/powershell/module/psreadline/about/about_psreadline#custom-key-bindings) which takes the current commandline input and runs it through [ollama](https://ollama.com) via [qwen2.5:7b](https://ollama.com/library/qwen2.5:7b), asking it to complete the provided line, after which the user's current command line is replaced with the model's output.

okay, this felt a bit surreal 🤯

i cut my teeth on @kevmar.bsky.social's posts on the underlying workings of #powershell, before they got grabbed by msft's docs

tldr: i'm a huge fan and genuinely am not sure if i'd be the .net (not just pwsh, also c# & vb.net (🤢)) dev i'd be today w/o them!
