QOTW: "How inspiring to be reminded of what fun and potential profit there is to be had when one ditches one's phone for a morning, and embarks on an outing with friends." Thank you, @caity.bsky.social

The serious way to pursue this would be to pick a pantheon of "anti-secession heroes of the South," and fund a group to create a systematic education campaign. Resolutions honoring their birthdays, street renamings, school curricula, and of course statues. That's their playbook.

Fixing Penn doesn't fix the railroad organization problem. Fixing Penn would be the downstream result of fixing the railroad organization problem.

I had a similar ranking in mind (with Lander at #2), but with @jessicaramosqns.bsky.social unfathomable endorsement of Cuomo she needs to come off my list.

Not sure this is entirely on target for your question, but when your daughter is a bit older, you both may enjoy the excellent Hilda series (books and video). Ideal for kids 7+ who are open to a bit of danger. Deals beautifully with single mom & adventurous daughter relationship.

On the optics front, Dems should lean in to saving the sacred, dignified space of the White House from Trump's "frilly gold stickers that make us look weak and silly." If the parties were reversed, Fox would go to war against this.
