Such pretty charts. Just needs some ribbons and music.

In Europe, they use YIELD TO TRAMS signs. Forboden in Ontario.

...and REAL priority for streetcars, buses, and light rail. Single-occupant automobile need to yield to public transit.

Judges should judge as long as they do as the Leader says so?

Consider using transit specific transit signals, that the rest of the world uses. Québec uses them with their BUSES.

Streetcar loops, caryards, and subway egress should display this sign on unsignalled intersections.

Another problem is that Toronto (and Ontario) did not implement the recommendations in the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic. In the convention, they give priority to street railways (trams, streetcars, and light rail).

Toronto has the SLOWEST tram/streetcar network in the world.

There remains the old level crossing at Junction Road & Old Weston Road (upper part of the image). If they rebuild the Old Weston Road bridge (or go with an underpass), they should continue it past the level crossing.

Should rebuild with either an Old Weston overpass or underpass, along with a traffic circle at Dupont, Dundas, Annette, and Old Weston.

The Old Weston Road bridge, which used to span the CP Rail tracks north of Dupont Street, was closed in the early 1970s and demolished in 1983. It was part of the original routing of Weston Road before it was renamed and rerouted in 1948.

Ditto for Spadina and The Queensway. Low priority for transit.

Results in the slowest streetcar/tram network in the world.
August 16, 2025 at 7:16 PM
The streetcar ridership would be higher if it wasn't because of the "slow orders", obsolete track switches, and MTO rules that favour the single-occupant automobile over the 200+ inside a streetcar.

Toronto is currently the SLOWEST streetcar/tram network in the world, because of that.

Doesn't have to be "elevator" type platform doors. Could be ropes like in some Asian subway/metro lines.

Those "consultants" are just one of the "soft costs" that add to the very high cost of transit projects in North America.
