I won't have many more opportunities to sit out in the sunroom this year, so I'm taking advantage of the chances that I get.

I saw Predator: Badlands with my brother @gmrez.bsky.social tonight. I really dug it; he was a bit more lukewarm. In any case, it's always nice to spend some time with my baby bro.

I stopped by the comic shop after work today. It had been a while since I last bought a little Trek ship, and when I saw this one, resistance was, well, you know.

The view outside my dining room window this morning.

My step tracker app made me chuckle when I saw it as I punched out for lunch today. It was a bit of levity on an otherwise ho-hum day.

But on the bright side, Buster still seems to be doing well!

Without downloading anything new, where are you mentally?

Colt shed his skin last night, so he's nice and shiny now. After checking him over to make sure it all came off, I thought that I'd keep him out for a bit and chill for a while after a rough week at work.

Colt decided to break his months-long fast tonight.

Being able to wear proper sunglasses is kind of nice.

Drop a bad guy you actually love.

As of today, I've had this goober for ten years. Happy Gotcha Day, Colt!

Again I say that working across the street from a comic shop is dangerous, especially when I get out early on payday.

I now own the complete 1978 run of Heavy Metal magazine. Obviously used, but they're in pretty good shape for being almost fifty years old.

I tidied up Colt's crib today. We'll see how long it takes him to bulldoze it all down again. 🐍

Too cute for words.

Dad's ashes are home, so there's no gravesite, but I got some flowers after work to put near his urn.

Happy Father's Day, Dad.

Today would have been Dad's 73rd birthday. He's been gone for almost seven years now, and the pain's never gone entirely away--and I suspect that it never will.

He loved Famous Amos cookies, so I got some after work. I'll have a few later tonight for him.

Happy birthday, Dad. I love you.

I don't typically have the world's biggest sweet tooth, but ice cream sounded really good today, so I treated myself after work.

I think my timeline is trying to get a jam session going.

One of the ladies at the eye doctor's office liked my Trek shirt when I was there for my appointment this morning, so I got that going for me.

It's a perfect afternoon for coffee and a book.
May 11, 2025 at 6:38 PM
I spent part of the day with a book of artwork by Frank Frazetta. I love how this piece is just called "The Disagreement."

.@gmrez.bsky.social wanted to come with me when I ran some errands this afternoon, so we had an impromptu brothers' day out.
