Born and bred in Co. Down, I’ve always been struck by how the Union’s most vociferous defenders have done most to undermine it. They have made it a hopeless, unwelcoming, loveless Union.

Had a good conversation today with someone I really respect earlier about the changing attitudes towards inclusion in the language. It's hopeful and heartwarming because, unfortunately, it wasn't always like that for my generation.

Either way someone who is doing the "these are my wee mates" shit with the state that has blown up basically every school in Gaza and killed thousands of children whilst getting the US to threaten the ICC, should not be the Edu Minister cause there is a rot in his soul that will never come out.
