A wizard is not a witch. Nor a scientist. But a wizard is a bit like both.
You’re mistaken, sir. SuperbOwl>SuperBowl any day.

That is the most boop-able nose I’ve ever seen!

Those are WAY cool…and I can appreciate how hard it is to get it to happen the right way.

No particular reason or anything, but can you get bacon from that kinda hog?

I wonder if you could make a D20 that stays firm while you roll it, but disassembles into 3d4, 3d6, 3d8, 3d10, and a d12 core, all specially designed mini dice. Would be such a cool piece.

Free and open source tends to bring out the neurodivergent crowd. Who tend to clean up details and add customization to everything for some WILD reason. LOL

The more time I spend with Bluesky, though, the more I think they got more right than they didn’t.

Unfortunately I have a current project that takes priority. But maybe I’ll take a whack at it at some point when this is done.

Oh, my only claim was that you guys weren't the target audience for the tech. I stipulated that some tech guys like it but I wasn't sure why. When you said web it clicked.

I think you just connected the dots on WHICH devs like mac. Web and mac are a natural fit, makes sense. Everything apple does its thing by being constantly connected.

Yeah. And that actually kinda puts my comparison in perspective, too. Explosive decompression is WAY overdone in movies. Atmospheric pressure is 15psi. Less than your car tires. It doesn’t blow doors off. It just suffocates you by leaking in hard to find places.

As I understand it, Mac is designed for and marketed to mostly people who work with graphic design or other USER type use cases, not so much aimed at devs and deep techies. But naturally some devs and techies work on Mac, so.

Weird? Nah. Amusing? Sometimes.

Probably one, maybe one nuclear family group of people are rubbing you the wrong way and you need to isolate who. Get space from the worst of it and the rest will settle down. No need to cut people off, just take a beat.

I love that the interviewer had no idea who this man is in front of him. Like, really? You don’t recognize THAT face? Really? C’mon, man. He is DEFINITELY the only one who looks like that. One of a kind. And I mean that the best possible way. I think he’s beautiful. But also unforgettable.

Highly recommend holding out for a female assessor (for you specifically, hubby it won’t matter as much). Men tend to dismiss things as “stuff women do” when a woman would add “but not like that.” It’s subconscious, not malicious.

Ah, I think I was reading more into it than was probably there. But it is pretty…yuk…all by itself.

If you have any mechanical inclination, I recommend metrology. Very compatible with most of my foibles. Lots of rules for how to do things and the whole point of the job is fine-tuning equipment to work right.

Yeah, that sentence alone is enough to mark that whole paper for the round file. Doesn’t even matter what the context was.

At the least, they are pointing in the right direction with the language recommendations.
