A wizard is not a witch. Nor a scientist. But a wizard is a bit like both.
I’ve heard there’s a tiktok dupe brewing that’s building on the open source. Looks like we will find out soon if Bluesky’s portable following promise is viable. I’m hoping they nail it out of the gate. But I strongly suspect even if they don’t it’ll get fixed quick.

So I FINALLY figured out why I couldn’t view the replies as a feed. Because they did something that I’m sure is intuitive and obvious to other ppl. Click the reply, then scroll UP. All the history just rolls down from the top of the screen. I feel silly now.

Ok, maybe it’s just because I was never a twitter tweeter, but how in the fuck do you see the original post when someone replies? I have a whole inbox of out-of-context replies to questions or statements and I can’t see what they’re about!

I have spent the last decade feeling like I’m in a vampire movie where everyone refuses to believe it’s vampires. Except it’s Nazis.

There is this idea that human nature is violent, but it isn’t. The violence comes from societal pressure and stress. Without all the expectations, people just want peace and a little joy. Let’s make a better society. See how much violence we face when no one is hungry or hurting.

If his autism makes him too fkn stupid to know what that salute is, why is he being allowed to work as a CEO affecting millions of people? It’s not the autism. He’s just a Nazi. If you apologize for Nazis it’s because you are one.

If we actually live in a simulation, our lead dev is underpaid, overworked, burned out and probably drunk at work all day.

Neurospicy people: we need better community and better resources. Let’s make a place for us. Buy land and a building, run businesses ourselves and coop our way - every last detail planned and executed for maximum happiness for everyone.

You know what profession SHOULD be replaced by AI? Lawyers, judges, and justices. There should be no room for judges and justices to introduce personal bias to the law. No room for lawyers to lie and obfuscate what happened. And no immunity, no person who is above the law.

Can we all please just agree that wanting to make laws about where people pee is both incredibly creepy and a STRONG indicator of deviant sexual behaviors? Can we just NOT hire anyone who thinks that needs to be part of the conversation about governance?

Post-Black Friday, I can attest that retailers have completely forgotten the purpose of a sale. And they’ve lost touch with what a good price actually is completely.

I only wish BSky had a way to image block based on facial rec. There’s one face in particular that I’d like to erase from my feed.

One of the most fascinating things about the 90s for me was that a dude walked around calling himself Ice Cube…and was taken quite seriously.

I have been on BSky for a couple of weeks - which is already WAY longer than I gave Twitter even before it became whatever it is now. The mass block feature is not just game-changing, it’s LIFE changing. This is the only feed I have that’s not horrific, but hopeful.

If you’re putting yourself out there, trying to get a gig, and the people with the gig start asking abt social media numbers, realize they want to capitalize on what you built. What YOU built. Why should THEY get to keep the lion’s share of what YOU built? You don’t need them. They need you.

The narrative that starting a small business is risky is misleading and intended to keep you in the corporate workforce. Starting a business you know nothing about running is risky. Doing what you know…less so. Which is why the statistics look so bad. Ppl start a restaurant thinking its easy.

If you’ve ever wondered just how much and how hard our government screws us, Royal Rife cured 14 people of late stage cancer in 1932 with a technique that can kill pretty much any microphage once you know the right frequency. And they called him a quack so they could sell chemo. Method verified 2018
