I would say it's definitely worth the read. I truly enjoyed it. I do wish the writing was slightly better, but it's clear Weir has a passion for the subjects he writes about and it's hard not to get wrapped up in his excitement over it. Very much looking forward to the adaptation!

That's awesome! I recently saw the trailer for the film adaptation and it looked so good! I couldn't wait, so I'm reading the book.

I'm about 40% of the way through. There have been a lot of little moments that have made me go, "goddamn it, that's fun." It's been little sprinkles, but I get the impression that I'm heading for a storm... In a good way.

You're not wrong! And I'm a firm believer that you can be critical/want more from a book/genre and still enjoy it for what it is.

It really does feel sometimes like they are throwing whatever will stick to the wall, until it silhouettes two pretty people making out.
