I use books to dissociate from the world…sometimes, when bad shit is ongoing, it’s healthier to give your mind a break than to try and reconcile why things happen the way they do. Smut is my current genre of choice.

Instead of smoke breaks, I have to take “hold fluffy baby in lap” breaks. We do this at least 4 times a day…this is how I get through working all day with chronic pain. 🥹
