Brown tabby on a gray sofa. He’s molded the cushion to be as comfortable as possible. One leg is blocking his eyes because there are some days you just want the world to go away.

My most recent foster dog, picked up after months on the lam. I had to carry her everywhere the first couple of weeks, and she was rigid with fear. Just went to her new home where she is adored. #dogsofbluesky #rescueisbest
A very hairy, and matted, red tri Aussie looks at the camera and appears happy. What you can't tell is that she was in such a shut down state she rarely left this spot unless carried. Cute red tri Aussie who has lost nearly all her sun bleached hair and is growing a gorgeous red coat. Playing with a toy and looking at the camera quizzically.

Love it, sampler knitting is so rewarding. This is one of my current projects. Eventually the ends will be grafted for an infinity scarf. Ignore the terrible pics, it’s gray and rainy here. #showmeyourknits

Honoring my Dad this Veteran's Day. For the first time in my life I'm relieved that he's not here to see what has happened to the country he proudly served for 32 years. Semper Paratus.
My dad in his Coast Guard uniform, probably in the 40s. Dad and shipmates on the Nettle (according to mom's notes) in his whits with a hilarious chef's hat. Dad and me the day he retired, 30 June 1977. Dad is in full dress uniform with medals. The ceremony was held on the deck of the Polar Sea ice breaker because an Admiral was also retiring that day and we were along for the pomp.
