Our user-led experience helps women to feel safe & comfortable to begin. Our guidelines allow for difficulties on release: probation, housing & health appointments.

Sharing this again on #WorldOccupationalTherapyDay. Being labeled "difficult to engage" exacerbated feelings of hopelessness until an OT treated the patient as a person, not an illness, and gave hope to recover from mental illness. #OT #SMI

On #WorldMentalHealthDay it is ironic that the theme is access to services and that 30% of referrals come from local NHS services who are unable to provide a service to these women. They have funding, we don't. Our waiting list is growing unfortunately. donate.giveasyoulive.com/charity/wish

Closing Samaritans branches might impact volunteers availability & wellbeing. Working from home with such distressed people and no-one to talk to or be near could be difficult. So many people rely on @samaritans.bsky.social , this could really impact the service.
