Hypothesis: Nixon most plays one side (left), and he’s better than Hobbs/Valentine, so opposing teams move their top WR to their side (Hobbs is the starter, Valentine his backup at outside CB)?

Loved it. I can feel the old biographies and VHS tapes stacked up for research for this piece, alongside a half-open, creaking MacBook for scouring 1990s YouTube clips. Wonderful.

Will be interesting to track how CV and Bullard develop, for sure. I’ll guess they’re more comfortable with CV outside than with Bullard in the slot (compared to alternatives), based on previous play. But of course I’m not the coach :)

Yep I get it. I just think the Packers plan is not to have Bullard as the nickel - that’ll be Hobbs with CV and Nixon outside. Bullard would rather be the dime.

Largely agreed. Bullard over Valentine (with Hobbs kicking into the slot) is the one I’m opposed to
