I have been enjoying the Dragon Quest 3 remake, but I can't help but think that a lot of the friction which makes DQ games interesting has been removed, stuff like mana costs on Zoom and Evac spells, the "retry battle" option on a party wipe. The revive/ run back to the boss is part of the fun!

Because of my time at ONM, the DS library is one I know more than most (my books aside), so I've tried to pick some more obscure gems here too among all the well-known ones.

Because of my time at ONM, the DS library is one I know more than most (my books aside), so I've tried to pick some more obscure gems here too among all the well-known ones.
