In a multiethnic and multilingual country, do people perceive a government message differently if delivered in their preferred language? We experimented this in post-Soviet Kazakhstan where Kazakh and Russian are commonly used.

Working on another manuscript that reports an experiment: partisan voters become generous to the opponent party when manipulated to believe their party will win in an upcoming election. A simple prospect (and belief) of winning can reduce out-party animosity among voters *with tolerance*.
