You can do a special copy and paste on a track or channel that includes all the automation and plug-in settings, but that will only work if you’ve been using a common template mix for everything else. Useful if you have common guitar or bass signal chains on an album mix, otherwise not so much.

the position of the overhead is what counts, a drummer will tune and balance the kit sitting behind it, putting a mic where the drummer is usually works well enough. Niel Peart used to strap PZMs to his chest…

Obvs, one in the kick, one overhead or in the room, depending on the sound of the room.

Can’t really employ Glyn Johns method without a third mic, but experimenting with the position of the overhead and not getting too close to the kick should get you started.
