I'm in the US on conference and that is terrifying news. I hope it was one border security guy taking his job a little too seriously, but I fear it may be more sinister than that.

What Collins announced yesterday is a big blow to ALL of an already struggling underfunded system. She also cut humanities and Soc Sci from Marsden. This is probably the only money these areas get, and it was only about 5% of the Marden anyway. Massive detrimental impact for limited $ gain 3 of 3.

That pointy bit relies on all the rest of the pyramid to happen. The rest of the pyramid is "Blue Sky". Currently the Marsden is the only fund that was supporting the rest of the pyramid and not aiming to fund only 'pointy research'. 2 of 3

This is a non-issue that Peters is using to gain political traction..he is a divisive snake. No end to the lengths he'll go to to get his 'kingmaker' crown on.

My 10yo eats about 6 for breakfast. Im actually not happy about how much our household subsidizes the tax evading brethren cult BS.

Yeah, but caring about the climate doesn't make you a fast buck. Not without innovation. This government is bereft of any innovative thought...or any thoughts.
