A sad day for all the right-wing wellness weirdos that can only eat grass-fed beef and dairy on their carnivore diets. It's only grain-fed American beef for you now! You'd better edit your grifter-diet books.

Dr Oz and RFK Jr heading health in US? They may as well throw in Jordan Bellend Peterson in too for the complete insane trifecta. Highlight for October is having Claire's Diabetologia paper finally published. It's been a journey, but this and other forthcoming papers are a testament to her leadership of this project. This is a super investing genetic variant. doi.org/10.1007/s001...

Yesterday, I was in chilly Vancouver following a great conference #KSObesity24. Today, I'm at the beach watching dolphins leaping in the surf while i enjoy an evening swim. It's a small world and so good to be able to travel and chat to people breaking the boundaries.

My colleague has basically done an entire year's worth of extra work at a significant cost to get a paper (hopefully) accepted at a well-respected journal. I'm not feeling this is sustainable with the state of research funding in NZ. We are really swimming against the current and it's exhausting!
