@thetimes.com What Dominic Lawson will never understand is that in some areas, civil servants are paid less than HALF than private sector. We do that for 3 main reasons: 1. public duty, 2. a sensible work/life balance and 3. a decent pension/retirement. Change (3) and the public sector collapses.
