Unfortunately the DSA types in LA are mostly left NIMBY’s so I wouldn’t count in that solving the problem.

Seems like maybe it reflects two things: Democrats did a poor job appealing to these people on all the other issues; and Trump fooled a lot of them into thinking there’s loads of undocumented criminals (when in reality it’s a low crime demographic.)

I think it’s the speed dating aspect of it I find most grating. I prefer to watch a handful of smart people who disagree in a room having an actual discussion.

There’s plenty of momentum from others in the party… Gavin w/prop 50, JB Pritzker, Bernie and AOC, Mayor Pete, Wes Moore, Kat Abughazaleh, Scott Wiener’s SB79, Ruben Gallego, etc.

It was a no-win situation. Trump was never gonna sign an extension of Obamacare tax credits. And he seemed A-OK w/poor children going hungry over the holidays. I guess I just don’t see the point in staying mad forever at dems in purple districts (for triaging the pain.) Saving that rage for the GOP.
