I listened to the @theguardian.com politics podcast about the state of social care with @johnharris1969.bsky.social yesterday while delivering LibDem letters in my ward. It finally made me sign up to help fund them. Such a powerful recording.

Great weather for the fantastic Windlesham Fête today. I was helping out at the BBQ stall with about 4 other councillors.

I grew up in Hamilton. The thought of people there voting for upper class chancers and Tory retreads is incredible. Labour needs urgently to address the reasons why they are failing the electorate here and everywhere. Lift the 2-child cap, don't cut PIP and stop pandering to racists and homophobes.

Good luck to all Liberal Democrat candidates in Thursday's local elections! We don't have elections in Surrey so we went to Kent to help out, which was great fun. And I actually got slightly sunburnt - in April!🔶☀️😎

This is what an attempted coup d'état in Surrey looks like. The Conservatives know they are heading for defeat if the county council elections go ahead on 1 May. This is their letter to the minister to try to avoid facing the electorate. Trying to rush the decision through over the festive period.
