Gold floods the shore as twilight sings.
Dark clouds gather on shadowed wings.
Two figures walk where waves unwind.
Their steps in sync with the drifting wind.
Storm and sunset blend in flame.
Night arrives, but hope stays the same.

“It's no good burying the pictures," Jimmy said in a final interview. "They should be given out to more people, and they should be free. After all, they belong to their subjects, to the people themselves."

You are our national treasure, if you like it or not. We ❤️🫶you Kath 😘
Listen to Nooruddean, he’s a very clever guy! 😁
Currently reading @kathyburke.bsky.social’s book and it’s so fucking good. Easily one of my favourite ever memoirs. I know this sounds hyperbolic but books like these are vital to documenting the lives of working class people. They *are* our social history. This just happens to be one of the best.

Dawn smolders in a glowing sky.
Gold stitched through clouds like fire’s sigh.
A lone fisherman stands where breakers gleam.
His line cast quiet as a waking dream.
Stones glow green beneath the tide’s slow sweep.
and morning rises from the ocean’s deep.
