Every day you train you are putting pennies in the bank. We aren't just adding to the bank with runs, but with recovery, sleep, nutrition, mobility, etc. Think in terms of making those deposits, and on race day you can cash in.

It is always a balance. Long Haul 100 is in 3 weeks and I am dealing with a calf strain. Tomorrow I have a bigger run on tap to see how it responds. 🙏

In the meantime, I will just keep watching my feet.

Be able to have a full conversation. If that requires walking, then that's where you're at.

When people recommend zone 2 training for general population, for most it should mean go on a walk

Had a 5 mile run to do, so I joined in with a local 10k road race instead. Been a while since I did one of these. So many people. I almost enjoyed. Alright, I did.

It’s the type of punishment I needed since I didn’t get into Western States yesterday.

I am beginning to put my race schedule together for next year. Currently I have the Long Haul 100 in January that I am signed up for.

After I hear on Saturday about Western States, I will put the rest together.

Was messaging with a runner that I coach and she had to cut a run short because of a car that kept circling back by her. Sucks for my female friends that have to worry about dangers like that. Creeps are going to creep I guess. But geez.
