When I was in my 20s I was passed over for a job, even though I was the most qualified, because the other applicant had extra points from previous military service.

FYI, our funds were disbursed and we will be paid for our work making our communities better, at least for the next few months.

I really wish the graphics folks at major newspapers would stop using county area (choropleth maps) to represent election results. Many of the red counties are *tiny* when visualized using population instead of area. Look at the difference:
