Spoke on BBC Radio Ulster this morning about the exec’s u-turn on compensation for those effected by power outages from storm Éowyn ⚡️

As extreme weather events become more frequent, as a result of climate change, the executive needs to develop plans to suppprt people unfairly affected.

Bizzare that the Education Minister has denied integrated status for two schools under such narrow criteria.

No minister should be able to veto democratic views & wishes of the school community.

There is ambition for IE here & schools should be free to realise this ambition.
One of the schools, Bangor Academy, is the largest school in NI

The crumbling of Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter must be arrested. Letting such an important part of our past and present heritage become an eyesore is a tragic symbol of this region’s lack of ambition.

The SDLP’s is putting this problem, and solutions, on Stormont’s agenda.
