I wonder if it may be of help to any other (aspiring?) indie designers to write a blog highlighting how I'm using Word.
Might be an attractive option for those who don't want to jump into Affinity, etc.

I'm with you, Matteo. I'm no illustrator, but there's *a lot* you can do compositing and editing images together.

It sure does seem like the scalpers are all over any big new release from GW. Frustrating - both the scalpers and that GW doesn't seem to be overly interested in finding a solution.

The pace has been… glacial. I know. I feel like George R.R. Martin.
But it's not been all staring blankly at computer screens & journals. Steady playtesting has refined and matured the design.
Playtest 4 is nearly there.
Thank you all for the patience. 🙏 It’s getting close.

The excerpt details how to approach adventures and sessions with the different scene types that shape Hexingtide’s play loop - with a focus on high-stakes Challenge scenes full of monstrous threats. Other scenes will come w/ the full release.

I'd be interested in that! One of my back-burner projects is a hard(ish) sci-fi game with no FTL travel, so that was a big part of the setting that I was hand-waving away. It felt unsatisfying / incomplete.

The fact I'm kinda laid out with a cold isn't helping much, either.

I'm not a video gamer so I get it all by osmosis from watching my GF play.
I so, so appreciate what their team attempted to do with the art direction, worldbuilding, and narrative design with the game.
