Fog Over San Quentin State Prison, by Sandow Birk. I have a weakness for old landscapes & so the use of that form & style to sneak a terrible reality into the frame hit me like a hammer when I first saw it at the de Young Museum in SF. Still moves me every time I see it. Perfectly on my wavelength.
