Of course he did it strategically to give his preferred candidate an advantage. But what Chuy did wasn’t what the resolution says it was! Not even close in my opinion. If Bill Foster is so upset, he can EASILY move to the 4th district and file by May 26 and run as a 3rd party candidate.

Nice intention here but gotta say I don’t love this as the first paragraph! Chicago is a traditional homeland of various native people’s. Tens of thousands of native people call Chicago home today. Most of all this weekend but always, let’s avoid framing native people’s as people of the past!

Yet we still have alderpeople who can’t bring themselves to sign on to the defense of a colleague detained unlawfully by federal agents. thetriibe.com/2025/10/so-a...

The situation of the federal government gratuitously and grotesquely terrorizing our communities with impunity is obviously untenable.

tour of the site on Tuesday with a bunch of neighbors- everyone seemed excited, but one guy waited patiently through the whole thing and dozens of questions until he could ask for a curb extension daylighting parking on Stony for the lot for the apartments across the street. Very reasonable ask!

Is there an American city where Trump can walk a tenth of a mile without being called ‘the Hitler of our time’ (or worse)? Anyone stooging for him needs to get a fucking clue!

What a great docking point! Credit where it’s due- thanks Divvy! I’m hoping the next one is put up at the busiest Metra station on the South Side. Here’s to it taking fewer than 13 full years of Divvy to add a station at Kensington!

Uh oh- does not include installing divvy docks at all the ME mainline stations. Just downtown docking upgrades! Go figure! A shame because improved divvy - metra integration on the main line (91st, 111th, and especially Kensington) could go a long fing way.

Never mind, no hope- current members apparently don’t get a decreased renewal rate. long time divvy system supporters get to pay $40/year more than anyone else :) I’m glad at least that I can pause my membership once a year, I guess

This CDOT release makes it look like renewing members won’t receive a price drop. It’s an incentive price to get new riders… one would hope they’d also give members a discount on their renewal!

I’m live air quality monitoring no kings Chicago and it’s remarkable that we can have 10s-100s or thousands of people converge on the regional center with virtually no impact on today’s (pretty good) air quality

Not having anything to do with the same turkey I suspect but about a month ago a student of mine spotted two turkeys on the Gwendolyn Brooks campus in Roseland

The peak peak here is Grand Teton, not Mount Owen or Teewinot. The peak population of Old Town was in the 1950s.

But have you considered this? (from Hyde Park Classics thread on the Herald article- overwhelmingly positive feedback)
