I'll go anywhere for the right price.
We assigned moral weight to 'being informed' before we invented the fire hose. We believed it necessary to do our civic duty or resist tyranny. But this was never entirely true, because the body politic has never acted on information alone but on what they materially experience each day.

It’ll end up on MakerWorld once I’ve got a few more skins ready.

I’ll publish it sometime this week. I want to get a few more textures ready.

The dream comparison is the exact thing that came to mind.

You're not wrong, but my use case basically forbids something as indiscreet as a wrap around, or head mount. Plus, it's not a toy in my case, so the reward outweighs the risk. Of course, when I drop and break it we'll see whether or not that last statement is actually true. 😅

I was trying re-use the pendant from the smaller camera. I have some bigger stronger magnets that I think would work, but they'd add almost 10mm to the thickness. It's not really an "action camera" set up, so I'm going to try with the path of least resistance and just experiment with a lanyard.

It's kind of a tricky problem to solve. I'm going for as much discretion (and comfort) as I can get out of something chunky. I'll be wearing it while talking to grandmas and moving around a bunch. So it's already approaching the limits of how bulky I can make it

So the actual goal was to use magnets so that the pendant could be used under a shirt, and the camera attached over the shirt. Works great with the tiny camera, but the 360 camera is just too heavy. So, either would need to design a custom pendant and or try another approach.

I haven’t heard AILD since high school. I’m about to go through a nostalgic metal phase. I wonder if I still like Zao.

You know exactly what I mean.

I should not consider it a failure to need supports, but I do. Toxic masculinity, 3D printing edition.

Fully agree. The tool switcher seems like a really novel approach, too that could actually make maintenance a lot easier—and also, maybe, a nightmare in a clog scenario. 😅
