Paul Dano was brilliant in There Will Be Blood. It really just seems like Tarantino can’t distinguish between the actor and the character he’s depicting on screen. Which is weird for a director feted as “good with actors”.
Tarantino is clearly a pretty shitty person though - that’s settled now.

I’m addicted to YouTube clips of fight scenes from The Equaliser films. Not because they might be particularly good films, or particularly well-staged fights. It’s all the build-up and how much Denzel Washington seems to relish the thought of really hurting yet another set of stereotypical baddies.

It's weird to not only have lived through an information revolution but also now living through its undoing, all within less than a generation.
Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea
