Do not remember the man by his words or actions. Remember him by the words and actions you invent for him, in order to justify saying the things you think you’re expected to say about him. That’s how modern “journalism” works. Truth must be subordinated to political necessity.

once again, i'll suggest that perhaps the reason the broad public thinks democrats are weak is that when confronted with situations that demands that democrats loudly and proactively stand up for their values, democrats shirk from the fight
