My daughter would love one, but being left-handed, the problem is smearing as she writes. There are online suggestions, but I'm interested in hearing from you who may be left-handed who have experience with this.

Tonight, we were watching The American Revolution on PBS. My oldest daughter began working on her iPad with the stylus. When I asked what she was doing, she said she was practicing her cursive so she could write better with her new fountain pen.

There is no zeal like the zeal of the convert! ✒️

Took a short walk on a path near my house overlooking the valley. It's the first time in two years I've been able to walk without a cane, and the first time in about six I've been able to walk without pain. It was thrilling! At the end, I was almost in tears, I was so grateful.

Ah, the good old Medieval Days, when rabbits and cats were not so lazy and had real jobs.

Just for entertainment purposes, I'm sitting at the kitchen table because it's almost noon and the automatic cat feeder is going to go off. I live for such mayhem!

They didn't think it was funny that I was video recording it.

Listen to your kitties! Especially if you are in Moria.
November 21, 2025 at 8:03 PM
I have two stuffed kitties in the living room and bedroom windows. Closing the shutters really squishes them into the window frame. Makes for a much toastier house.

The only problem has been I periodically look up and think one of my cats has gotten stuck between the window and the shutters.

🎉✨🍰🥳 For my oldest daughter's birthday today, she's getting her first fountain pen. I chose a Nahvalur Original Winter paired with their Galaxy shimmer ink. Blues and purples are her favorite colors. Added in a simple Moleskine journal in deep blue. 🖋️✒️📓

My Grayson (left) is maybe half the size of my chonk, Charlie (right.) But Grayson lived the first year of his life outside, so he is really tough. They'll play, but if it comes to a take-down, Charlie doesn't stand a chance against Grayson's street smarts.

Thank you for introducing him to me! Here's one I found I love. It's so hopeful.

OK, ok, the guilt is too much. I'm finally a paid subscriber to The Guardian. I read their articles almost as often as I read the NYT's. Plus, I think it's healthy to have a view of the US from outside.
