One of these is a good ad. The other appears to be an ad for a high priced rollercoaster duvet company

Post a picture (or two) of you from a different era.

2014 (pre Mrs H, pre kids) - on my way to a wedding. Slight Bateman vibes.

Direct Line now. A fair enough benefit (they get your stuff replaced faster), but the endline / central thought is weak.

‘That’s how it’s done’ is something a weak police constable would say in a crap ITV drama.

Why not lean into the more interesting idea of getting back to normal faster?

The first - Bournville. Lovely lovely endline (even though it reads like the strategic proposition) but the big copy is weak.

Why not lean more into the wonderful copy from the telly ad? As is, a bit of a missed opportunity from the best bit of telly ad writing I’ve seen all year.

Onto the next

This bit is particularly something I wholeheartedly believe to be true. Especially now being in consultancy and seeing the other side a bit more.

Stoke top of the league, and now this. (I should win a glove. Very exciting). All hail the new irons.

Should put a bob on the Lottery at this rate.

This is a real insight (which is as true today as it was in Shakespeare's time).

Also makes the very good point about how the right are able to turn it into a joke, but the left can't, not really.

Sweaty Betty isn’t sure if it wants to be Nike or the White Company.

A shame the first word doesn’t have a typo. Then it would work better as an ad (but they’d be a very different company).

This sums up why I wasn’t that fussed by the Liverpool win, as good as some of the football was. Weirdly hollow.

The one on the right is the better ad.

For the first 7-10 years of my career, I thought it was the other way round.
