Learning in "education" has never looked like learning in the actual world. What if instead of going back to blue books and cursive, we went forward to students actually doing real things in the real world. As Piaget said, "Learning is the consequence of experience." More of that perhaps?

With respect to most educators, we haven't been educating our children all along. We've been schooling them. They are being taught to succeed at school, not life. And as we can now see on a daily basis, that's coming home to roost, as they say.
