I remember the one year we did it at my very observant orthodox uncle’s house and I fell asleep at the table. Lasted till midnight. When my grandpa hosted we rarely finished the after meal portion.

When I was a worship leader I would dream that a band showed up at the last second and wanted to use their own drum set and would just start setting up in the middle of the service. 😅

I think the author would say, “exactly! And then they didn’t wait long enough to make the progress required to make it better! Their nerve failed half way through! Cowards!” I think there is some things to be learned but it’s mostly not good.
