Not for that specific reason but I have started adding admin/project management costs because clients really expect you to deal with all sorts of (non-project related) nonsense.

Self-interest without restraint and careless use of technology is one hell of a dangerous combination when you pair that with a near bottomless pit of money. It doesn't really require evil intent to begin with, but terrible consequences will inevitably be its output.

I also fully blame marketing nitwits for taking "people pay more attention when information is presented in a visually appealing way" to mean "use images for EVERYTHING". Now everybody thinks they need to add a pic to their posts or else oblivion
