I have this too! Foraged and eaten them many times but always with a little unsettled feeling. Another thing is that I eat them in smallish amounts, versus feasting on other species like chanterelles. Just in case, I guess! Maybe it will go away at some point

I've never made them into powder for dye, but I'm intrigued. Hope you find a suitable replacement! 🌿

Nice! I love nettle tea but have used younger plants out of caution, but maybe unnecessary caution. ☕

Sounds delicious! I've never made it before. My son and I made salmonberry fruit leather together once--really good. And sticky!

A9. My TWS classmates are very skilled at invoking sound, smell, body sensations in their work. I think I probably overemphasize sight--what is the character noticing around them on a visual level. What draws their attention?

A4. I'm a compulsive re-reader, not just at the start of a writing session, but throughout, like every 30 minutes I go back and re-read a few passages, might edit for tone or flow, but mostly just trying to pick up on any vibes or images or themes unconsciously emerging. Trying to notice.

A5. Not so much a task as a mindset: remembering that my writing time is limited helps me focus and keep going, and to be productive while also trying to have some fun with the process.

Q3. If I have a deadline, that will focus my writing goals for the session. If no deadline, my goal is to make the piece better--can mean adding, deleting, changing, so I don't think too hard about word count.
